A coffin for two

Have you ever heard about “A coffin for two”? As I read about “A coffin for two” from the book A Matter of Death and Life by Irvin D. Yalom and Marilyn Yalom, I was smiling. In fact, it made me smile whole day.
And what is the fully lived life looks like for Irvin could be my inspiration too.

Reading the true life love story of Irvin D. Yalom and Marilyn is so moving. I’m hugging this book to everywhere I go. True love exists, and it’s precious 😇

Here is the original quote:
I’ve loved Marilyn since I was 15, and without her, I cannot imagine being entirely able to rejoin life. My life has been fully lived. All my ambitions have been satisfied. My four children and eldest grandchildren are all fully launched. I’m no longer indispensable. One night I am particularly disturbed by dreams about Marilyn’s death. I remember only one detail: I was strenuously expressing my dissatisfaction at being buried next to Marilyn (long ago we had purchased two adjoining plots). Instead I wanted us to be closer, to be buried in the same coffin! When I tell Marilyn about this in the morning, she informs me that it is not possible. Years ago, she and my photographer son, Reid, had visited cemeteries all over the United States for their book. In all of her research, she never encountered a coffin for two.

PS If you would like to read the book in German, the title is: Unzertrennlich

A memory also made me smile today, it is also related to coffin. Today I play my first funeral in this year, I can not stop thinking back of a funeral service I accompanied last year with J.S. Bach’s concerto for 2 violins. Another true life example of one love for a life time. I am still very thankful for the wonderful chance, the funeral was really dear to me. After a year, my feeling become even more intense. I have already written about this funeral in another blog post, you can read it here:

My plant made me smile too. Yesterday, one new leaf, and today two leaves! Furthermore, the ever emerging new heart shaped flowers.

First human Adam, his job was appreciating plant. When I am delighted in my plant, I am in heaven!
Song of the day is related to Adam, His creator- God and nature! Ladies and gentlemen, let’s listen to A Journey on Foot!
