Saying good bye in 4 points:
1. The Farewell gift from the mentor and the choir
The greatest realization of the year is I want to specialize more in playing and learning organ if compare to my other duties as church musician. It is neither that I feel like I am born to be an organist, nor aim to pursue the organist career, nor enjoying performing. It is just I know what to do when I wake up in the morning everyday. If I want to learn all those beautiful organ music, I even know what to keep me busy and bring me fulfillment for my coming years (may be for whole life too?). There are many organ literature for worship service, but there are also many organ pieces not less religious still the duration too long to be included in the worship service. I will regret if I do not learn them just because I do not need them for my job. And the gift from my mentor – C.P.E Bach’s complete organ music would be the next to explore.
“Ohne Späztle ghot gar nix!”
“Without Spätztle (a kind of noodle) nothing works!”
said the page that I randomly open. This book represents the choir member that very enthusiastic to introduce me to the local culture. They make sure I get the most out of the region. Their kindness to a stranger make me feel heavy to say goodbye.
2. The last worship service of my internship in Leonberg.
3. The last day with this identity.
4. Musician friends made: the pianist (she has Steinway grand!), recorder player, violinist.
