A Leisurely Walk

The dark clouds looked threatening when we stepped out the house. Soon, it started to drizzle.

“Shall we turn back?” my friend asked.
“But the other side is sunny. Let’s just walk, if the weather turn bad we can run home. ” I replied.

As rewards, we saw rainbow and the rains have ceased.

I just love walking. Especially when I am feeling down or hit the bottleneck, I need to have the long walk, rain or shine. Like today after playing two funerals, I simply felt like I need to walk although my initial plan was practice organ.

So I went to the vineyard and walk. The grass, the grapes, the flowers, the apples, the birds, the butterflies were like my old friends welcoming me back in the nature. The nature was telling me, autumn has arrived. In fact, 9 months has passed, I still feel stuck and chilly weather reminds me of the coming of winter, that’s why sometimes, autumn can be melancholy.

But, before the leaves come to bloom, keep hope alive. For “autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” ― Albert Camus. The walk today also reminding me that, miracle is taking place quietly, not with a bang. Like the vine, I saw them grow, from winter to autumn, from bare tree to bearing fruits tree, and now they are ready for harvest.

I did record how the vine growth like a mother making “baby growth” album. You can view them:

Tonight’s music is a song that rang in my head as I walk. I don’t know why this song, but it’s a nice song though.

When you’re weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I’ll dry them all
I’m on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
