The unplanned yet the best read of the year – Otfried Preußler

Two weeks after reading “Krabat” by Otfried Preußler, I was and still am completely immersed in the magical world of the story. So I went on to read two other books by the same author, they are “The Little Witch” and “The Wise Men of Schilda” .

These books are inspiring in many ways, instead of writing a book report, I think it’s better to focus on a single point and write about them from time to time. To chew on those good books for a long time. This post, I lightly describe the content of each book, a general impression after reading them.

Krabat
“Love” is the greatest, to be exact, the only way to break the devil’s spell.

A Little Witch
A 127 years old little witch was learning to be a good witch in a year time. Her best friend , the crow Abraxas was helping her. But what is the definition of a “good witch”?

The Wise Men of Schilda
So, how wise can the citizen in Schilda be? The feeling of reading this book, is like reading newspaper, I keep laughing and asking:

“It surely can’t be true … ”
“Es kann doch nicht wahr sein … ”

Have you ever read the books written by Otfried Preußler?
Which one is your favourite Preußler’s book?

Note:
I also mentioned “Krabat” in this blog:
