This morning, I worked on installing crowdfunding website- https://ko-fi.com/thejourneywriter . If I want to keep “The Journey” going, I need to make it financial sustainable.
Put aside the time, intellectual property, the education, the travelling cost and etc. , there is a monthly cost to pay in order to run the blog. The cost for the domain, the hosting service, the Dropbox storage, the email service and etc. Crowdfunding is one of many ways to keep it going.
It is my intention to keep my content totally free, so please do not feel pressure to buy me a coffee. I am happy enough that you come and visit my Blog, Youtube and IG. I am happy that I can share with you my travelling experiences and my favourite music, literature. However, as I mentioned, it is not really “free”. If you like my content, I would be very grateful to receive a cup of coffee every once in a while.
In afternoon, I made a Youtube video. It is a Background Music Video for studying also for chilling out. I chose the songs, looked for pictures, and put it together. While I was waiting for the video to process, I created thumbnail for the video, I’ve written the description and caption for the video. The whole afternoon has gone.
After that, I need to upload the video. The internet in my home is too slow to upload a 3 hours video, I need to go to another place with better internet to upload it to Youtube. While waiting the video uploading, I am replying IG comments and stories, at the same time, writing this blog. It is now 20% uploaded, I hope I can go home not too late.
During getting the content done for the current post, I also need to plan ahead about which content to post in the future. One of my many contents is about book. I finished reading this book –Krabat by Otfried Preußler today. I love this book, I simply love it, I love it so much. Some time later I will do a post dedicated exclusively to this book.
Krabat was an apprentice at a sorcerer’s mill. He can change himself into crow. Crows appeared often in the story, and the story was mysterious and magical. Therefore, as I was reading the book, my brain was playing “The Crow” from Schubert’s Winterreise as OST to the book. So it will be the music of the night.
A crow has come with me from the town,
and to this day has been flying ceaselessly about my head …
