Lyrics: Lucienne Steup Music: Christoph Georgii |
1. Preparation. Preparation work like choosing songs and design liturgy for Worship service. Psalm 46 and Mark 4:35-40 were the Bible readings for the Sunday, and we have this Gospel Rock Song “You Are My Rock” before the sermon.

2. Setting up sound system. I said to my mentor: “Please explain this to me as if I am a 3 years old kid.” And he did it with extraordinary patient.
3. Choir Practice. There were around 70 people singing, from 7 months old baby to 80 years old people. Some choir members volunteered preparing food and dessert for every tea/ lunch break.

4. The Band. A vocalist, a keyboardist, a percussionist, a bassist and a saxophonist. I only need to tell them what I wish for the song as an inexperienced conductor, after I gave them a nod, they delivered my every wish with their wonderful music skill. It was so great to work with them.

5. Conducting. I am allowed to conduct 2 songs, one of them is “Rejoice”. So rejoice!
P.S. “You’re my rock” and “Rejoice” are included in this song book:
