This book belongs to my 10 months old friend, I have a look into the book during a visit. The first page is inviting us to guess a song from the illustration. Dear German friends, do you know which song could it be?
The answer is:
Die Vogelhochzeit
The Bird Wedding
In only this one song, you can introduce all the birds in the world. The song is about a bird wedding, obviously as the title says so. Each verse is one to two birds playing different roles, as guest, musician, priest and etc. Everyone can also improvise and add on to the already available verses.
I know I have not given an answer yet about: How many birds can fit into one song? What about you listen to the music and count it yourself?
