Have you ever been to a place, when you leave, you are taking a message with you? Recently, I was in Frankfurt, and I am taking back this message with me: come back to now. It is actually an advertisement for contemporary art collection in Städel Museum, and it inspired me.
When I think of the past, it won’t make me feel happier. When I think of the future, it only burdened my heart. Both situation took energy away from the now, which is a great loss. Because only now, is the moment that I can make a difference, and I need energy for that.
So just focus on the rehearsal tomorrow, the worship service to accompany on the coming Sunday, the next concert to play, the next meal, the view just in front of my eyes. I am coming back to now.
