I have closed my ears, I refuse
To listen to my mouth weeping.
I have closed my mouth, I refuse
The taste of weeping eyes.
I have closed my eyes on the past.
I was not there. I was away.
At the poles, in the Amazon.
I am not going to have been
Where you say I was. You fancy
You can force me to have lived
The past you want.
You are wrong.
Kenneth Rexroth, I Refuse.
From now on, the new life has begun. The new life where the past, insecurity, uncertainty, regret, guilt, and sadness have no more say in the matter. The other half of 2020 should be the joyful one, for I say so. There is still plenty of time to make the 2020 a great year. Let me start the new life by welcoming the peak of summer time with wide open arms.
