I built a Gingerbread Village

I built a Gingerbread Village under a starry sky. The stars sing if you listen carefully to them and the pine trees tell stories when you come near to them.

Some life updates.

My residential permit is still on hold. Every few weeks I received letters to provide this and that. To look at the bright side, they are really processing my case, it is still better than been neglected into vacuum. It happened once that they completely forgotten to process it, and another time they had lost my documents. This time is actually not the worst case.

I am very thankful for having keys to churches, which solved my organ practice problems. However, since summer, the churches are very occupied, still I managed to practice. This two weeks, after several times I went to church to practice organ only found out the church was occupied continuously, I’ve told my organ teacher I will come next year again. To keep my finger moving, I play J.S. Bach’s Two Part Inventions on my spinet now, I taste heavenly peace by playing them.

The funeral itself is less troublesome. Anyway, one recent incident sapped my energy. Usually I print and copy in 3 places, church office, a grocery store and a stationary store. Church office is the only option I have now, I need to come at the office hour. Funeral is not predictable, I received the accompaniment part from the violinist in the evening for the funeral on next day. So I went to the grocery store and the stationary store, they both said they don’t provide the service anymore. They told me about another copy shop, I went there but the copy shop only print dissertations. I felt defeated after running from shop to shop in the cold windy evening and did not get my work done.

Luckily the music was not very difficult that I print them in the cemetery office just before the funeral and sightread the music. It was ok at the end, but I do not like the feeling of unprepared.

With my blog and vlog, I have many ideas and I wish I could have more time to work on them. But I need to be practical that this cannot pay my bill, I still have to use my organ playing income to pay the various fees to run this blog and vlog. I am not complaining, I am more than thankful that I can work to make this possible. On top of the limited time, I have very limited internet at home. Video making and uploading requires speedy internet, this is one of the reasons why I upload irregularly.

Yes, I still love what I am doing, it is just everything seems go wrong. Maybe I need new dreams, maybe I need a rest, I don’t know. Instead of keep banging at the stubborn wall, I will now just do what I can. I can read more and build a gingerbread village when my internet is very limited, I can play on my very lovely spinet instead of keep running to the unavailable church, I can enjoy the beautiful German winter instead of keep thinking of the residential permit. Above all, I still can count on this promise:
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for GOOD and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11.

“Broken hearts do mend, bodies do healed, disappointment turns into new dreams and the end of one thing can open the door for something new, if we will just put our TRUST IN GOD. If you’re still here on the planet, God’s got a plan for you. If you’re still here, you’re breathing, He’s not finished with you yet.”
Joyce Meyer on Psalm 147:3

My plants also telling me that God is working even He seems invisible to me. Really? Invisible? The little stem that emerged on 30.11.2022 has grown tall to hold the two angels. The Christmas Cactus looked like a plastic plant for the whole year, but now they are blooming. The Journey goes on.
