I admire the song writer Janne Mark since I heard she sang for the first time in her concert – Pilgrim. That was in year 2019, she was giving a concert also a workshop about song writing. I remember this experience very well, because this was the very first time, an idea emerged to me: to write a song. I have not written any song yet. That’s why it made me even happier to see her again in Leipzig on the last few days, she’s giving a workshop about song writing again, refreshing and inspiring as ever.
Yes, I was in Leipzig for a hymn (song) conference. I met new and old colleagues, what a privilege to work with them. It is unbelievable what I’ve learned in the 4 days conference. Good news for you – my dear reader, because I will of course share with you my experiences here bit by bit. This post is only a little update about what I have been doing lately. I just came back from my trip, and I have not done with unpacking luggage yet.
This is the view from my hotel room in Leipzig. The poster in front of my hotel room said: a new beginning, where it all began. It was the first thing I saw every morning when I drew my curtain, and it made me smile.
I made a detour to Berlin before going home. I was there when the weather still cold at the beginning of the year. The end of the year is approaching and the weather starts getting cold, I was in Berlin again. From a winter journey to a love remains journey. Only true love is meant to stay and last.
I do not know what exactly has begun or what has come to an end in order to create space for a new beginning, but it is certainly a new beginning with hope.
