Actually today I do not plan to write any post, because today is Sunday. It is a command that I should rest one day, after 6 working days. This post is more like a heart-to-heart talk.
But writing blog is not working! I guess some of you might think so.
To me, writing is not only a hobby. How to differentiate hobby and profession? One aspect is, hobby I can do it when I have time, even if I have time, it is not necessarily to be done. In my case, knitting. However, to people who run a “Knitting” shop, knitting is not their hobby, but profession.
Profession require me to do the work, without excuses.
Even though when I am not updating my blog, I am doing preparation work like reading, structuring my content, exploring new topic to enable me to post frequently. Some friends asked me: “I would also like to write, but I could not find the time. How can you manage to update your blog every 2-3 days?”
The answer is, I treat it seriously, like a profession. No matter how busy, tired, stressful am I, I just have to deliver a writing. It is about discipline and practice. The quality of writing might vary, but the most important thing is to keep the momentum going.
Dear reader, thank you so much for spending your precious time reading my blog. A friend told me that she read my blog on the train, when she is on “ The Journey” to somewhere. Another friend told me that she read my blog when her baby is sleeping, to have some quiet time. It is a privilege that “The Journey” could be part of your everyday life. This helps me to keep the momentum going.
So what am I doing when I need to rest on Sunday? Attending worship service, talk to family, visiting the sick neighbour, and proudly blissfully baked a four-cheese-potatoes-gratin!
